England experience 2012: Our classes and teachers

To Embassy arrive people from all around the world, they all go there for the same reason: to learn English, the school offers many different programs that adjust to what everyone needs, you be on the school as long as you want or you need. For example you can be there for a week o for a year.That´s why each class varies each week, some people come, other go and other you can tell that are going to be there for a long time.

I had many partners from many different parts of the world. The first week for example I was really lucky and I had the fortune to share with 3 Austrian guys, Kristen, Paul and David also there was Luigi a Brazilian guy, Ji Hyeon (or Stacy as she would as us to call her) and she was Korean, Gabrielle she was German, Hady a colombian girl and Estefania a friend form the RSD school. They were all older than me, but as soon as I walk in to the classroom they welcomed me and included me in all the activities, we all worked together, laugh, share our opinions, and many of the activities were guided to allow us to get to know each other.

Our teacher that week was Marion, I would dare to say the best English teacher I have ever had, her way of teaching was complete different from everyone, she had an open concept about how a person should learn English, she doesn't likes guide books ( she says that are useless and limit the learning process), to teach us she would take a news paper and put us to read and criticize or give our opinion about it, and through games and different activities was the way of practicing a new topic,she taught me lots of new vocabulary and many thing I didn't know that even existed, she wouldn't let us work with people of our same language and because of that reason we were forced to speak in English the whole time.

The second week I had new classmates,the Austrian guys left, but new people arrive, that week arrived 3 Korean guys, Jillian, Sunny and a man (whose name I never learned), a Japanese girl Shiori, a Chilean man Patricio or Pato, a Swiss girl Jessica, a Mexican guy Alan, an other Colombian girl Stefani and a Chinese man Lee. An also from the last there were Luigi, Stacy, Gabrielle and Hady but both of them left that week We were an awesome group we all got along, share and laugh a lot, we worked really good together. From that week until I came back we were the same group.

Though we were close I was closer to some of them, especially Stacy, Jessica, Luigi, Jillian and Pato, I had more thing in common with them, they made me laugh a lot ( specially Luigi and Jillian ) and with them I built really great memories.

My teacher for the next three weeks was Marnie, she was a great teacher, she help me improve many of my English skill, with her we did many grammar exercises, she also made us work on our writing and listening and she taught me some pronunciation, I can say that what she taught me is going to help a lot in my learning process
